Just got my paws on a POD XT Live and a Variax 300 a few weeks back for about 7 bills. Also found out there's a Line 6 Web site called www.customtone.com that has literally hundreds of downloadable DT/Petrucci tones created by other POD users. I figure it's worth a look - I tend to do my own tweaking, but considering the ubergeek that is the average DT fan, I'd assume the tones are well-researched. I'll report back once I have a chance to A/B some of the tones with the songs or amp/effects setups they're based on.
