  • Roadrunner Exclusive: Kerry King Talks Megadeth and American Carnage
The first half of the American Carnage Tour featuring Megadeth, Slayer and Testament has just come to an end this past weekend, but leg 2 of the tour featuring Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax is only weeks away. While the killer show came to the IZOD Center in New Jersey last month, we caught up with Slayer guitarist Kerry King backstage to talk about all things thrash and all things Carnage. And what we got was a pretty cool lesson in how things have changed in the 20 years it's been since Slayer first toured with Megadeth on the Clash of the Titans Tour in 1990/1991.

Watch below as Kerry tells us all about it, and don't miss three out of the Big Four touring together this Fall. A full list of tour dates can be found here.

  • Opening the Crypts: New York Dolls
It's a holiday weekend, so naturally we need a good party song for this week's edition of Opening the Crypts. While Airbourne would have been a good choice for hanging out and having a couple of beers in celebration of Labor Day, when we went into our Crypts, what we found instead was an amusing animated video by the New York Dolls for their 2006 song "Dance Like a Monkey." So as it turns out, we're inviting you to "shake your monkey hips" and have a kick ass holiday!

  • Rob Zombie: "Having Joey in the Band Has Been Great"
Earlier this year Rob Zombie added Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison to his touring roster, debuting the new line-up at the Revolver Golden God Awards in LA on April 8th. Since then, Zombie's band -- guitarist John 5, bassist Piggy D. and Jordison -- have toured North America with Alice Cooper on the short-lived Gruesome Twosome Tour and co-headlined the Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival all summer long.

Now, the allstar troupe is gearing up to rekindle the flame of the Gruesome Twosome set with the Halloween Hootenanny Tour featuring Rob Zombie, Alice Cooper and other Jordison project Murderdolls starting September 30th. But that's not all they have in store! This incarnation of Rob Zombie's band have also recorded three brand new tracks that they're gearing up to release on the Special Edition of Hellbilly Deluxe 2.

Check out this video interview with Rob where he tells ARTISTdirect.com all about it.

The repackaged re-release of Hellbilly Deluxe 2 with all the trimmings is out on September 28th.  While the album will feature 3 brand new tracks, there's also a bonus DVD of footage filmed by all four current band members and some expanded artwork. Don't forget to grab yourself a copy of the killer set coming soon!

  • Murderdolls Frontman on 'Women and Children Last': "It's My Favourite Thing I've Ever Done"
Bravewords.com recently sat down with Murderdolls vocalist Wednesday 13 to talk about the band's brand new album Women and Children Last.

In their extensive interview, the site explains, "In 1980, VAN HALEN released Women And Children First. Now 30 years later, on August 31st 2010, MURDERDOLLS will release Women And Children Last – how times have changed! 'Oh yeah,' chuckles vocalist Wednesday 13. 'It was such a good title! We knew that when people heard that title they would either be offended or laugh. I think it’s worked both ways so far. Some ladies didn’t like it, but oh well.'"

And as for the sound of the album,  Brave Words & Bloddy Knuckles sums up WACL as "undoubtedly darker and nastier than its predecessor." While Wednesday 13 tells the site, "With Murderdolls this time, we changed it up. There’s no actual horror movie songs on there. There’s stories like ‘Chapel Of Blood’ and ‘Summertime Suicide’, I guess they could be a horror movie. But we didn’t want to go back to watching Dawn Of The Dead and write, when there’s no more room in hell, the dead will walk the Earth. That was easy to do. This time it was more of a challenge. I wanted to sing about different themes. There’s still tongue-in-cheek fun stuff on the record and there’s more serious songs like (first single) ‘My Dark Place Alone’ and ‘Nowhere’.”

To learn more about the album in the words of Wednesday 13, go right here to read the full feature. Women and Children Last was just released this past Tuesday. Go RIGHT HERE to get your copy now.
